26th Street Project

New Facilities

The components of the 26th Street project will address the University’s most critical facilities needs and transform an underutilized corner of Marymount’s campus into a vibrant center for learning and student life. The project includes a 52,000-square foot academic building, a suite-style residence hall housing 239 students, attractive outdoor gathering spaces, and underground parking.

Academic Building

Named in honor of a campaign leadership gift from northern Virginia business and civic leader Preston C. Caruthers, the 26th Street project’s academic building will provide state-of-the-art facilities focused on the natural sciences and health sciences.

Caruthers Hall will house classrooms, laboratories, and faculty offices on four floors. These new facilities will enable Marymount to greatly improve the quality of instruction in the sciences and health sciences by offering students and faculty an academic environment that encourages research, collaboration, and hands-on learning. | more
