Saints make Happy Hats

For the second consecutive year, Marymount student-athletes, under the sponsorship of the MU Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), donated their time and artistic talents to the Happy Hats project, an organization that provides hats for children with cancer.

More than 30 MU student-athletes, worked for more than two hours on Sunday, February, 21 for the cause.  (See pix below:)

What is SAAC?
SAAC is a student athlete advisory committee comprised of student athletes to discuss their experiences in the college setting. This committee voices their concerns and gives suggestions about the various laws governing their NCAA institution. SAAC was first developed in 1989 to review issues affecting collegiate student athletes. This initial goal has progressed into SAAC members assisting in the review of NCAA proposed legislation and serving as the voice of student athletes at national meetings. The overall mission of SAAC remains the same "… to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image."
