The Lodge

The Lodge is one of two original buildings on Marymount’s campus, dating from the early 1900s. At that time, the Main House was a private residence – home to Admiral Presley M. Rixey, naval surgeon general and personal physician to Presidents Theodore Roosevelt and William McKinley – and the Lodge served as the property’s guest cottage. Today, this fieldstone building houses Campus Ministry, the Office of Student Activities; student government, newspaper, and club offices; a meeting room; lounges; and a full kitchen for student use.
