Sign-up Instructions

Getting started

  1. To receive text message alerts, your mobile phone/device must be able to receive Short Message Service (SMS) text messages, and your service plan must support them. If you’re not sure, check with your provider before signing up.
  2. Have your phone available and turned on during sign-up. (You can also sign up for e-mail alerts only, in which case you will not need an SMS-configured phone).

Step 1
Choose a username and password for your MU Alerts account, and complete the form below. (This username and password do not have to be the same as your Marymount e-mail username and password, but can be.) Please be sure to indicate whether you are a Marymount student or faculty/staff member by choosing the corresponding group.

Step 2
After you fill out the form, you will receive a text message with a four-digit number. Enter this number on the confirmation page to complete your registration. If you don’t enter the validation code, you will have an account but will not receive alerts. (If you logged out of your MU Alerts account without validating your phone number, you can log back in to validate it.)

Step 3
Once you have enrolled, you may log back into your account to add an additional cell phone number and/or your personal e-mail address(es). Your numbers and addresses will be kept confidential.
