Campus Fund

Marymount University’s faculty and staff are considered prized and valued members of the University community. They are contributors to the success of our students and of our University on the whole.

Faculty and staff support extends beyond the offices and the classrooms. Gifts to the Campus Fund enable Marymount to award its Faculty/Staff Scholarship to outstanding freshmen. In fiscal year 2005-06 the Scholarship was awarded to two deserving students from Kenya, Julius Hambule and Jonah Kiliara, helping to fund their education for each of the four years they attend Marymount.

“Marymount loves me and I love you! Thank you…It’s your effort that made me be here.”
-Jonah Kiliara, Nursing Major

“I couldn’t believe my ears when I learned I was coming to America, to Marymount. I really appreciate all of you for helping to make my dreams come true.”
-Julius Hambule, Marketing Major

When Marymount faculty and staff support the Campus Fund, their generosity does not go unnoticed.

Campus Fund Committee

The Campus Fund Committee is made up of faculty and staff members whose efforts help to drive the success of the Campus Fund forward. Committee members act as peer ambassadors to the Campus Fund, sharing new Campus Fund developments with colleagues, and spreading the message of the importance of supporting this vital campaign. They also act as representatives—the voice of the departments to which they belong.

"As a long-time faculty member at Marymount, working closely this year with freshmen, I realize how many deserving students need financial aid to attend our University. I think that we, the staff and faculty, can have a tremendous impact by helping students attend Marymount and gain an education that they might not otherwise obtain. At a time when there are so many requests for assistance, I believe helping our own students should top our priority list!"

Rhett Leverett
Assistant Professor, History and Politics

"I have been a member of the Campus Fund Committee since it was established. As an alumnus, a faculty member, and a member of administration at Marymount, I believe that it is critical to support the University in as many ways as possible. Getting active in the work of the University and giving our support—including financial support—are parts of our commitment to excellence in education."

Theresa P. Cappello
Professor, Nursing
Dean, School of Health Professions
